A Nice Journey

A nice journey

                                             About three months ago, I went to Hambantota with my family members. Our aunt lives in Baragama. So, after a while we went to see the aunts. Actually, this journey was a little trip. Moreover, we went to many other places not only to see the aunt. That is why, I said this is a trip. A family trip.  Our aunt's daughter joined with us on this journey. 

                                              Firstly, we visited the Hambantota Dry Zone Botanical Garden. It was really beautiful. When we entered it , we couldn't imagine that we were really in Hambantota. I felt like I am in Peradeniya. Upon entering it, there was a large row of trees on either side of the road that stretched upwards like a beautiful large canopy.   

Likewise, I felt a great chill as I walked along the road through the canopy. There were many types of flowers which typical of the dry zone on both sides of the road. 

There was a large area like a ground in the middle of the park. Moreover, in the evening, visitors can relax and play games in this area. When we went there, many more people come to see the garden. However, due to the covid epidemic the population is lower than usual. 

                                           Firstly, there was a beautiful plant conservation house. It contained many of the plants found in the wet zone. The plants were watered using sprinklers to reduce dryness and increase moisture. There was a beautiful statue inside it. 

This includes endemic plants as well as exotic plants. Actually this is not just a fun trip but also an educational trip. I was able to identify many species of plants that I had never seen before.

                                           

                Next, we went to Hambantota Bird Sanctuary. It is a very beautiful place. There were a lot of different species of birds. 

When we look at them for a while, we can see a little bit of their behavior. They had a lot of space set aside for them to be free.

In a bird park, I had a lot of fun going to feed the birds. My brother and I went to the birds. Suddenly, birds surrounded us. I was really scared at this time. However, we had a lot of fun. As well as, It was an experience that will never be forgotten.

 

                          So, this is our nice journey. Moreover, It was a beautiful journey and memorable day in my life.
