                                                                                                                                                     Dancing is a performing art. There are many different dance traditions around the world. We can identify their own dance forms in different countries. Also, Sri Lanka has its own dance traditions. There are three main dance traditions namely Kandyan , Low country and Sabaragamuwa . 
                 

                     




                                                                  Among these, the "Ves" dance , which belongs to the Kandyan dance tradition is very special. This has succeeded in taking the Sri Lankan identity to the international area. Moreover, these traditional dances can be seen at various cultural festivals held in Sri Lanka. 
                                       
                                            



Also , We can be identified different types of folk dances. 
                                               
                                            
                                       


      

Dance traditions such as Bharata Natyam , which are part of the Tamil culture , as well as dance traditions such as ballet and salsa , which are prevalent in Western European countries. They are spreading in Sri Lanka now. Moreover, we can see dances from different dance traditions in concerts and dancing competitions.

                                       


                                                  Actually , Dancing is a good exercise for our body. By engaging in it , one can maintain the flexibility and health of the body and develops creativity. As well as, develops the ability to present something , for the enjoyment of others. 

                                  

                                I love dancing since my childhood. I also participated in school concerts and dancing competitions. So, Singing and also Dancing are my hobbies. I think you all like dancing a lot.
