                                                                         Favourite Female Singer




     Shashika Nisansala is my favourite female singer in Sri Lanka. She is a best famous female singer in Sri Lanka. She is an indispensable character on the Sri Lankan concert stage. 

                               She has sung a lot of songs so far. Those songs became very popular among the people. Therefore, she won the SLIM- Nielsen Peoples Awards for the Most Popular Female Singer for record six consecutive years since 2016. As well as, she has received many awards such as , State Awards, People's Awards, Raigam Awards, Sumathi Awards. 





  Briefly, about her personal life , she was born on 28 September 1981 in Deraniyagala as the eldest of the family with one younger brother. she did her A/l s at Anula Vidyalaya Nugegoda and then, after passing the A/L s , she entered University of Kelaniya in 2002 and completed a special degree in Bachelor of Arts. 

             She started music at age of 5 where she used to play keyboard. Then, she joined Muthuhara and Udara musical programs in television as well as, some radio programs She won the "Thurunu Shakthi Singing Competition " and then she released her first album which gained huge popularity. Some of her popular songs of the album included " Paramitha Nopuramu Api Dedena. Thol Pethi Vitharak , Sanda Reta and Sanda Eliya Mamai Nam. Among these, I most like song is "Sanda Eliya Mamai Nam" .  Now, we enjoy her singing with famous singer Dumal Warnakulasooriya.

                   


 

                 Her first music video was released in 2010. Some of her popular music video songs include Oba Esi Piya Nohela Baluwa, Mal Sara Hee Sarin, Es Deka Pura and Husmak Durin Inna. Moreover, her first orginal music video is Chandra Payanna and it was released in 2021 on youtube. In 2020, she joined with the Voice Sri Lanka as a judge. 


I specially like her amazing voice. She has a sweet ,heart touching voice. As well as , she is a very simple and humble character. I love her. I know, you love her too.

WAWRUKANNALA TEMPLE

                  WAWRUKANNALA TEMPLE You have hearded about the Wawrukannala Temple . It is famous shrine , located in our area. This temple is located about 4 km from Dickwella town. Many local and foreign devotees come to worship this  place.    🙏🙏🙏🙏    There is a large statue of Lord Buddha in this temple. Which is in the seated position. This is about 160 ft hight. It is said to be Sri Lanka's biggest Buddha statue in the seated position and  dates come back to king Rajadhi's of reign.                                 It is made in such a way that one can climb up the stairs behind the statue.
